The Cache Valley Library Association invites you to vote for your favorite local librarian for the 2015 “I Love My Librarian Award.”
This award recognizes librarians in public, school, college, community college and university libraries for their achievements and service.
“We are excited to promote this national award to shine a light on the librarians that work among us,” said CVLA Past President Joseph Anderson. “…We are excited to see through the nominations what their librarians mean to them.”
Up to 10 recipients will be awarded $5,000 and will be honored at a ceremony held in New York. A plaque will also be presented to each recipient’s library.
All nominees must
- Be a librarian with a master’s degree from a program accredited by the ALA in Library and Information Studies or a master’s degree with a specialty in School Library Media from an educational unit accredited by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education.
- Work in the United States in a public library, a library at an accredited two- or four-year college or university or at an accredited K-12 school.
You can submit your nominations at www.ilovelibraries.org/ilovemylibrarian until Sept. 28. Recipients will be announced December 2015.
