I can’t think of a more classic developmental toy than building blocks. My kids love them and I love seeing the creativity that comes out when they play blocks. We gave our 1 year old these Scraps for Kids blocks for her first birthday, and all five of our girls have enjoyed playing with them since.
So, what makes these blocks so special and my new Mom’s Favorite Thing? Well they are made with recycled wood and they are hand sanded and dyed with food coloring to keep them safe for the littles who just can’t keep them out of their mouths!
Also, Scraps Toys is a Utah-based, family-owned business, which I love. They provide jobs for disabled men and women and work with construction companies and recycling companies to reduce landfill waste. I love everything that Scraps Toys is about.
