Before any road trip it is imperative to check these items. Having a good time can only happen when everyone arrives happy and safe.
Car Maintenance
- Check tires for wear: Never drive long distances on low-wearing tires
- Check tire air pressure: Low tire pressure not only effects safety, but it also reduces gas mileage
- Check all fluids (transmission, radiator, washer, etc.)
- Oil change: Traveling on old oil is not good for your car’s engine
- Check battery
- Check A/C unit: A recharge may be required
- Check wiper blades: You don’t want to get caught in a storm and discover they are old and worn

- Detailed map (GPS fails sometimes)
