The Goodrich Family

Jenny Mathews, contributing writer

Kent Goodrich, a local highway patrol trooper, and his wife, Charity, a licensed clinical mental health counselor speak about a range of relevant topics, including raising responsible citizens, mental health, school shootings, the #metoo movement, adoption, and more. They are devoted parents of five adopted children and have many dedicated years of experience helping our community.

Kent and Charity speak candidly and sensibly, offering advice about treating people—adults and children—with respect and kindness especially when they make mistakes, recognizing when our child may need professional help, and when we might be getting in the way of our child’s progress. We talk about the increasing disconnect between reality and the virtual online world the rising generation has grown up with, and how to thrive in a world environment that can be kind of intimidating and scary.
