Little Lambs Foundation For Kids is a local non-profit that focuses on providing essentials and comfort items for children placed in foster care here in Cache Valley and throughout Utah and southern Idaho. Ted Chalfant and his wife Stefanee wanted to do something to give back to the community and had the idea to fill around 50 bags with comfort items for foster kids. As a child Ted’s mother took in children who needed a home and it was her example that inspired his family’s desire to serve the children in our community. After contacting the Department of Child and Family Services and within a very short time, the news of their project spread. They quickly realized the need was much greater than they had originally anticipated. They rose to the challenge- enlisting the help of the community that now helps to provide these items for over 5000 children per year!
Shauna Thorpe serves on the board and is the director of the Little Lambs Teen Ambassadors program.
