Leaves are turning and temperatures are cooling, meaning it’s time to bring out the crockpot to make some homemade soup for the family. This Chicken Noodle Soup is a warm, hearty recipe filled with lots of flavor. It’s the perfect comfort food for fall!
Ingredients: *Serves 4
- 1 can (48 oz) chicken broth
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (cook and cut into bite-sized pieces)
- 2 cups egg noodles, cooked
- 4 cups water
- 4 chicken bouillon cubes
- 2/3 cup diced onion
- 2/3 cup diced celery
- 2/3 cup diced carrots
- ½ cup frozen peas
- 2 Tbsp. margarine
- 1 Tbsp. parsley flakes
- 1 tbs. salt
- 1 tbs. black pepper
Instructions:
- Combine all ingredients (except for the noodles) in a crockpot.
- Cover and cook on low for 5 to 7 hours OR on high for 3 to 4 hours.
- Add noodles 30 minutes before serving.
- Serve with fresh bread or crackers.
