Oatmeal is such a quick and easy breakfast, especially when things get crazy toward the end of the school year! But it’s easy to get stuck in a rut with it. Mix things up with peanut butter, coconut-raspberry, banana bread, and carrot cake oatmeal.
Ingredients
Peanut Butter and Banana Oatmeal
- ½ cup rolled oats
- 3 Tbsp. powdered peanut butter
- 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy) or water
Toppings: cinnamon, raw honey, sliced bananas, natural peanut butter
Carrot Cake Oatmeal
- ½ cup rolled oats
- 1/3 cup shredded carrots
- 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy) or water
Toppings: cinnamon, pure maple syrup or your choice of sweetener, golden raisins, pumpkin seeds
Coconut Raspberry Chia Seed Oatmeal
- ½ cup rolled oats
- 1 Tbsp. chia seeds
- ½ cup coconut milk
- ½ cup water
Toppings: shredded coconut, raw honey or your choice of sweetener, fresh or frozen raspberries
Walnut Banana Bread Oatmeal
- ½ cup rolled oats
- ½ overripe banana
- ¼ tsp. cinnamon
- 1/3 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
- 1/8 tsp. nutmeg
Toppings: cinnamon, pure maple syrup or your choice of sweetener, crushed walnuts, banana slices
Instructions
Peanut Butter and Banana Oatmeal
- Add the oats, PB fit powder and milk in a microwavable bowl.
- Microwave on high two to three minutes, until oats have become soft and absorbed some of the liquid.
- Allow to cool slightly and top with cinnamon, raw honey, sliced bananas and natural peanut butter. (You can also add more milk if the consistency is too thick).
Carrot Cake Oatmeal
- Add the oats, shredded carrots and milk/water in a microwavable bowl.
- Microwave on high two to three minutes, until oats have become soft and absorbed some of the liquid.
- Top with cinnamon, pure maple syrup (or your choice of sweetener), golden raisins and pumpkin seeds. (You can also add more milk if the consistency is too thick).
Coconut Raspberry Chia Seed Oatmeal
- Add the oats, chia seeds, coconut milk and water to a microwavable bowl.
- Microwave on high two to three minutes, until oats have become soft and absorbed some of the liquid.
- Top with shredded coconut, raw honey (or your choice of sweetener), and raspberries. (You can also add more coconut milk if the consistency is too thick).
Walnut Banana Bread Oatmeal
- Mash up the banana in a microwavable bowl.
- Add the oats, milk, nutmeg and cinnamon. Stir well until banana is mixed in.
- Microwave on high two to three minutes, until oats have become soft and absorbed some of the liquid.
- Top with more cinnamon, pure maple syrup (or sweetener of your choice), crushed walnuts and banana slices.
Note
- Be creative. Everyone likes their oats a little different. Feel free to experiment with amounts of liquid, sweeteners and toppings until you get your perfect bowl of oatmeal!
